Imposter Syndrome:
Fake it till you make it
In an era defined by simulation and spectacle, this new exacting exhibition brings together three artists—John Reid, Nina Thirion, and Frank Thirion—to explore how truth and illusion entwine in our digital, social, and environmental landscapes.

Through carefully constructed images and immersive installation, this exhibition reflects on how we identify beauty, authenticity, and even urgency. From social media pet imagery to AI-generated travel posters that promise paradise while hinting at collapse, the works here question what we see, what we believe, and why we’re drawn to images that soothe or seduce us.

Behind the use of subtle humour and provocative imagery lies a deeper concern: how illusion begins to shape the world we live in. From artificial flowers and digitally delicious meals, to neo-classical Greek urns, we’re asked to pause—and look again and again at all the possibilities: where the copy becomes the original, and illusion becomes the lens through which we recognise the world.
